Come Race on Ice! Join EBC and Evergreen Parks and Recreation for Colorado’s Only Bike Ice Race
Get ready for our 2nd annual one-of-a-kind cycling experience on Evergreen Lake—the only bike ice race series in Colorado! Riders will compete on a stunning 1-mile ice course in a thrilling three-race winter series. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a fun winter adventure, there’s a category for everyone.
Helmets are required for all participants. Knee and elbow pads are strongly recommended. Studded tires are recommended (but not required) for all categories. Want to build your own? Local shops carry studded tires, or you can sign up for an EPRD tire-studding class https://www.evergreenrecreation.com/2026-01-24-mtb-maintenance-tire-studding.
This event is a three-race series, with points awarded based on placement at each race. Racers with the most points in their category after the final race will be crowned series champions.
Races follow a cyclocross-style format:
-Mass start
-Laps counted each time riders pass the finish
-When the lead rider approaches the race’s time limit, a bell lap is announced
-All racers finish on the same lap as the winner
