The social groups you know and love!
We now have these groups separated into foundation and progression. All social groups are on Mondays.
Five scheduled group rides
The first ride will serve as a rider evaluation
After the first ride, all Ride Leads will discuss placements and may move riders to another group
Following any needed adjustments, riders will generally remain with a consistent Ride Lead and group
Placement is based primarily on bike-handling skills, terrain readiness, pace, endurance, independence, trail judgment, and overall group compatibility
Age and social connections will be considered when appropriate, but skill-based placement will take priority
Additional placement changes may be made during the session when needed for safety or rider experience

Devo Programs
Devo is for strong, motivated riders ready to take mountain biking to the next level by building speed, endurance, and technical skills. Every group follows a "fun is fast" motto, nurturing a love of biking first. Racing is always encouraged but never required.
A typical session builds around three focus areas: (1) a technical ability (cornering, wheel lifts, body position), (2) a "soft" skill (goal setting, positive self-talk, team attitude), and (3) a good habit (sleep, nutrition, trail stewardship).
Devo is a good fit if your child:
Loves biking and wants to ride longer, harder, and faster
Can sustain a ~1,000 ft climb and 7+ miles in 60–90 minutes
Is race-curious
Has a team-forward attitude and lifts up others and is driven to improve
What every rider brings: a backpack each ride with 1 L of water, two healthy snacks, a spare tube, a rain jacket, eye protection, and gloves.
Good to know: Ride Leads may modify routes, adjust activities, relocate sessions, or cancel rides based on weather, trail conditions, rider readiness, and safety protocols. No refunds are issued for weather-related changes.
We encourage Devo riders to sign up for two rides per week between Devo All Discipline, Devo Gravity, and Devo XC.
Think of Devo All Discipline as vanilla ice cream: it is a great, foundational base. What do you want to add on top? Sprinkles (Devo Enduro)? Whipped cream (Devo XC)? But if your kid just wants the sprinkles and whipped cream, that's ok too.
Devo All Discipline- Monday – Ages 9-14
The all-around foundation of the Devo program. Riders build the full skill base across every discipline, with a "fun is fast" approach that keeps the love of riding front and center. Designed to pair with Tuesday Enduro or Wednesday XC, but strong on its own too.
5 rides per session at Three Sisters, with a consistent ride lead who has racing experience
Devo Gravity - Tuesday - Ages 10-14
For experienced riders ready for longer rides, advanced technical terrain, and a competitive flair. Focus is downhill and enduro-style riding: race prep, course inspection, line selection, timed-stage strategy, and riding under pressure on rocky, rooty, more challenging trails.
Consistent ride lead
Locations vary; some sessions at downhill trails, bike parks, or race venues
Requires more bike and more protection: full-suspension, 26"+ tires, disc brakes; full-face helmet and knee pads required (elbow pads/chest protector optional)
Race entry fees, lift tickets, and transportation are not included unless stated
Best fit: regularly rides advanced trails, strong braking/cornering/handling, comfortable on sustained technical descents
Devo XC - Wednesday – Ages 9-14
For riders drawn to endurance and cross-country. Sessions add race strategy, pacing, and preparation, and the group picks optional races to target. Most XC kids' races are in spring, so a fall session is largely long-term preparation.
Ride leads who have XC racing experience
Rotates through local trails (Lair o' the Bear, Elk Meadow, Flying J, Maryland Mountain), focusing on endurance and growth mindset
Will provide race support at select races: team tent, snacks, and hydration
