Rad as Ice Bike Race
Come Race on Ice! Join Evergreen Parks and Recreation for Colorado’s Only Bike Ice Race
Get ready for a unique cycling experience on Evergreen Lake—the only bike ice race in Colorado! Participants will race on a stunning 1-mile ice course in this one-of-a-kind event. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just looking for fun, there's a category for everyone.
Helmets are required for all participants, and knee and elbow pads are highly recommended. Studded tires are permitted but limited to participants in the Men’s and Women’s "A" category. However, you are welcome to race in the "A" category without studded tires. All other categories are for stud-less tires only.
Registration and Parking
Sign up on BikeReg: https://www.bikereg.com/rad-as-ice-bike-race and then stop at the Evergreen Lake House the day of the event. Day of registration is also available.
Parking: Available at the Lake House. Arrive early to secure your spot, as parking is limited due to the Chill Out Festival happening the same day. Event Costs
Adults: $30
Kids: $15
Tricycle Race: Free (donations to the Evergreen Bike Club are welcome and appreciated!)
Race Categories
Men’s and Women’s “A” Categories
Includes all racers using studded tires (optional for this category).
Race Duration: 40 minutes
Men’s and Women’s “B” Categories
Stud-less tires only.
Race Duration: 30 minutes
Kids’ Categories
Divided by age (ages 3–14), based on registration numbers.
Race Duration: 20 minutes
Tricycle Race
A fun event for all ages! Multiple laps on a short course. Tricycles and helmets will be provided.
Duration: Short but competitive—bragging rights are on the line!
Race Day Schedule
7:00 AM: Registration opens inside the Lake House.
Note: Registration closes 15 minutes before each race. All participants must sign a liability waiver.
8:00 AM: Men’s and Women’s "A" Race starts.
9:00 AM: Men’s and Women’s "B" Race starts.
9:45 AM: Kids’ races begin with staggered starts by age (ages 3–14).
Ages 15 and older should register for the "A" or "B" categories.
10:15 AM: Tricycle Race.
10:30 AM: Awards ceremony.

Enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Chill Out Festival while you're at the lake!
